I have a room with a few, well, lets say a few hundred lights in it. Its a fairly big room, but each of these lights has a small light range, and it looks good with ambiance down to zero.

My computer is fast, (Dual core, 2.60 ghz.) Because when you walk in and out of light with your gun, it of coarse, darkens and lightens the gun. I dont have a slow computer to test this on, so may I ask, does this slow down the game for slower computers?

(Btw, all these lights are STATIC.)

,Thanks.

Yeah, it doesn't affect actual gameplay, but it will make loading times longer. I do have a question about lights, though...which ones load faster? Static or dynamic?

Static. Both loading and gameplay.

Hey, and while we are all here, why is it that when you create a new game, put down ONE floor segment, and a start marker, and no lights, there are a few hundred poly on test game?

it always loads a sky box Apple Slicer. And actually dynamic lights generate faster but decrease framerate.

Right. And you CAN get rid of the skybox. In your setuplevel.fpi, delete the whole skybox line. This is also how to delete the darn LIVES too.
