the manual says that "it was removed because of redundancy," but what command in DBPro is capable of converting .3ds to .x since its removal? i am totally stumped on this one!

DBP is supposed to be able to load 3DS files normally (the conversion is performed automatically), in my experience though, it doesn't work very reliably.

You'll need a program like MilkShape which can export .X files, or you can use the 3DStoX converter exe supplied with DBClassic.
