The gun is too wide. The grip/mag slot etc are all too fat.

It's currently very boxy, try rounding things off more and it'll look better.

It's Basically just the smoothing groups that need editing, I think rounding it off isn't absolutely necessary. I'm not sure but I don't think the barrel is meant to be that skinny.

Looks great, bevel the grip and all that stuff a bit.

Cheers guys, I'll try to improve it on what you say.

@Crav3, I havn't made any smoothing groups as of yet.

@Skeptis, I have made a fair amount of models in the past, although most were made in Wings 3D, this was my first gun model in Max.

I would like to get it finished, but my laptop has just failed (again) after 1 month + of servicing.
3rd time it has failed.

Thanks for the comments.

That's your catch phrase. Model looks great for your first, just get those smoothing groups going.

I thought I would take this opportunity to post my anvil, which was going into my MMO. That was before the setbacks (laptop)
It was my first model to be modeled and mapped in Max.

It is about 100 polys I dunno, because I can't check.

Again with the boxy

Try using bevel on the edges that need it.

But it is for a mmo so I think it is fine.

Ye Aaagreen I would of liked to add more polys, but it is/was for an MMO so I tried to keep it very low as there would be a lot of polys overall.

I reckon I will make a more realistic one.
Any comments on the texture on the anvil?
