I know that DBPro uses DirectPlay under the covers to maintain connectivity, so does that mean you can use a DirectPlay interface in ANY application to send packets to DBPro? I have a Windows-based client in C# with which I am trying to connect to a DBPro game. I can't get the DirectPlay commands to work. Does anybody have an idea why? Has anyone done this before?

I believe that you can ... if you know the application GUID that DBPro uses to make its DirectPlay sessions unique.

... and before you ask, no I don't know it, and no I don't know how to get it ... but you might be able to email Lee for it

Really it should be made known, as for some programs, like mmorpgs, a server made in c/c++ would be much more efficient than the corresponding DB/DBP program.

Whatever I did I didn't do it!

When I see an MMORPG, I'll worry about it ...

Seriously though, anyone who needs to know, just needs to ask
