Hey guys, I was wondering if I could use some of the X10 characters in a X9 game, if so could the game be used commercially? Wondering because I bought X10, but I want to use Ply's Mod for my game, and I liked the characters. Any answer would help (besides IDK)

My Computer: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.66Ghz, 4Gb of RAM,
Nvidea 9800 gt 512Mb, And Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit.

I think so, assuming you bought both software packages...

I think they're just considered FPSC models, so after you've paid for them you can use them in any context you like (within FPSC obviously)

Are X10 models easily converted to the X9 format? Or they are the same? Just copy'n'paste? Same for guns and etc? If so, i'll buy X10 to use it's gorgeous models.

Guns might be an exception but both X9 and X10 use DirectX meshes so it is the same... in theory.

Ive done it, you can see the video on my youtube profile... Cameronx11, you need to get the entire gun folder and paste it in whatever entity directory and get the game core and you might have to change around with the gunspec because it doesnt always play the effect. Models work excelent also, I have all x10 exclusive scifi models in dx9.

Edit: wich leads me to believe in theory you could mod x10 to work on x9?

Well when migration occurs us x9 users will get the better deal lol. I purchased x10 (of course) but turns out i didnt have the proper graphics card so I found out how to put the stuff on x9. All i did was merged all the folders from x10 with x9 so I have all exclusive models. =) And just to try the physics system to see what im in store for (when migration occurs) im waiting on a geforce 8800 series.

Thats the good think about TGC everything is compatible except for the 3d game maker but thats not so much of a game maker as it is a game in itself.
