In the sprite pack, there are light rays, the problem is, is that they slow down the game, being animated. Is there any way of making them static?

You could open up the decal texture file, as it contains all frames of the animation, pick a frame from it, put it into a an ordinary texture (single frame) and assign it to a flat surface mesh, like the one that the blood overlay uses.

I didnt try that though because it usually makes a weird black "thing" around the overlay. Ill try that later when I can.
