Ive never really hung out in the FPSC boards, Im usually over in the DBP or 3D Chat section, but here's the deal...
Im in college, and money is a big issue. School only allows me a few days to work at a part time job, and it just isn't pulling in enough cash for me to stay in college without taking out family loans each month. Im going to college for animation, so I figure why not try to use my skills to make some money as well.
So im dabbling with the idea of putting a model pack together. I know FPSC has a huge customer base, and with the new TGC store, this is a pretty good time for me to start.
Right, SO, I've just been concepting some Sci-Fi weapons on my breaks in college, as I've read many people are interested in Sci-Fi media. Here's my concepts so far;
This is a rough idea I had of either a heavy carbine or with some modifcations to the muzzle, a flamethrower. I haven't textured it yet as this is purely experimental, I need to know if I should bother continuing.
And these are just some other concepts I was able to come up with in my free time.
So, the questions:
1. Does anything up there look interesting / worth purchasing in the TGC store (for like 200 points I guess) assuming I textured / normal mapped / animated / set them up for FPSC?
2. Am I right in working on a Sci-Fi pack? This is what I've been reading in most of the posts Ive found from people asking what to put in a pack.
3. Im also concepting some sci-fi static objects like cryogen freezing chambers, power generators, miscelanious computer systems, wall-mounted futuristic looking things, etc. Would these be more useful than weapons?
Any info / comments / crit would be appreciated. If you need an example of my finished work I suppose I could go find some as well.
