hi everyone

i am working on a segment pack which will feature remade textures from all the classic metal gear games

but...

i am wondering if this could get me into trouble cos of copyright

(note:i am releasing them for free)

can anyone tell me if its ok to do this? copyrights confuse me

Are you making the textures and are they considerably different to the originals? Then yes, you can use them.

Are they copies of the originals? No you can't use them without permission.

What he means is that you can't rip them from the game and edit them, then release. They must be 100% yours.

TPEG and Toasty pretty much covered it up.
You could ask them nicely if you may use their textures, but I doubt they would let you.

Well, you can use them in your own game. If you release it or the textures then its copyright.
