Does the current version of fps creator support bump mapping or normal mapping? this never really popped into my head until now. and if not is it going to be in the migration?

You know if Lee came along one day and said pick a feature, any feature for FPSC X9 and it would be implemented. I would chose bump map support for segments every time.

FPSC does support bump mapping on entities and characters. Bond1's custom character shader even uses shader model 3 which looks amazing but sadly our environments cannot.

You can still get a lot of mileage from high detail textures and good lighting. Also FPSC X10 does support full scene bump and specular maps which is one of it's major selling points right now.

Many have tried but all have failed. It would require a source code modification to the lighting system.

@Nomad, I got a simple bumped shader working on a segment of mine, back in the days. I was going for a Portal-esque game and made a bumpmap for a segment, but I realized I didn't want to continue with it, so I never used it again.

I could find it and throw it up and show you, if u like.

- You know you're curious

@ All: My Normal Map shader works great on any segments etc. To prove Im not lying:

Bump, paralax and specular also work like a charm
