As you all know the retro remakes competition has just ended. My entry was a space shooter called Alpha Lunar 1. Could it be possilbe for someone to download it and give me their oppinoin of the game. Try to play beyond level 1 and 2 as these are easy training levels - it gets harder from level 3 onwards. Also if you get to level 6 , try to hit the giant head for a bonus 10000 points

Hmmmm....something wrong with site. I tried the href, html, and the url command.....
Oh, well. The long way eh???

Open notepad, copy and paste this:

<html>
<head></head>
<body>
<a href="http://members.lycos.co.uk/doversubaquaclub/upload/Alpha Lunar 1.zip">Click here</a>
</body>
</html>

Save the file as "Whatever.html"

Open it, and the save target as on the Click here bit

Damn, that doesn't work either......

Holy moly everything moves fast....Once you get past the bits where the skeleton falls down it's impossible to stay alive. If you die during that part, (with the skeleton). THen the next time you play it, none of the pieces fall down, until you shoot a specific piece, then they start to fall again. Yoy may have meant this, but it's kinda unpredictable.

Yeah, I also entered. I remade SkyRoads although I started just under a week before the deadline so I didn't get it finished lol. I believe it's around #50 in the list (FlyRoads) - You can't even finish the first level rofl

The whole program was written in 2.5 days of hard slog, leaving med only 0.5 days before the end of the competition.

In answer to the skellington being unpredictable, I included a bit of coding where it would occasionally lead you into a sence of false security before it would drop something on you. Though personally I feel that when everything falls down almost immediataly is the best.

Level 3 is deemed to be the hardest of them all in my oppion. It deliberatly slows down you ship with the Time spikes (see readme),. making it hard to avoid the barrage of 20-30 enemies at once.

Has anyone managed to complete the whole game without cheating? I cannnot count myself as I know where everything will be so i have an advantage. Should you not get past level 3 there are cheat codes to help you through.

Has anyone managed to get the bonus in level 6 - hitting the enormous giant fly head? Also what was your best score.

After the results come out I will begin on making a larger and better. Wioht more enemies and more bosses with longer levels.

Hope everyone liked it.
