hi folks me again.. But with a diferent question. ! Hoping someoene out there can give me some sort of answer to this question. I want 2 backgrounds one with transparency in front of the main background image. The image in front moves THUS shows the parts of the image behind it where it shows through.
Please is this possible and if so a pointer in the right direction would be so cool.
Thanks for reading this Regards :- Steve

Try some big Sprites. Images used for sprites can have the ALPHA layer set for transparency and stright up holes.

Might not be the "Best" solution - but would be fairly simple.

Hi stevebrit, "here's another way" :

dbGetImage ( int iImage, int iLeft, int iTop, int iRight, int iBottom, int iFlag ) ;

Set the texture flag to like 1... that will give your image transperancy.

Ofcoarse you will need to dbLoadBitmap your picture or draw onto a bitmap first to get the image that you want from that bitmap.

edit: lol, just noticed I got myself in the darkgdk forum... edited above to reflect darkgdk functions...
