i'm working with a sprite sheet that's 1054x4779, but i cant figure out how to get the images to make a sprite. I type in the right coordinates, but it gets an image a lot higher on the sheet, and is twice as big. Any Tips?

Forgive me if I understood you wrong.

There are many ways to cut out individual images from a large sheet. The simplest method that comes to mind is to paste to the screen then use the get image statement.

If your image size is 1054x4779 then it's best to create a bitmap that will fit that.

These command statements are probly what you'll need, look up the help section:

Create Bitmap
Copy Bitmap
Set Current Bitmap
Get Image
Sprite

See what you can do, if you need further help then post the codes you are having trouble with.
