i was going to bake all the textures togeter to create a super texture map for all said parts, this can be quite easy or very hard depending on its annoyance level lol

I like it. I've never made a texture before creating the mesh, I just can't plan things to that extent.

One thing I would say is that you should have more detail on the sweet spots on the model, in other words the areas that peoples eyes are drawn to. For instance, the hands should get a decent sized area of UV map because they can be close to the camera. The feet as well should get a little more real estate, because people always look at feet and they tend to be disappointed - when someone puts in a lot of effort on a foot, whether it's an old boot or barefoot, people notice this stuff.

The other areas look good, but I would probably expand to the less planar areas, like the shoulders - I'd keep drawing up until the opposite side of the shoulder was taken care off too - nice and easy to UV map, and again it's an area close to the camera.

Look forward to seeing how it turns out.

Heh, I don't think this is the UV Map, this is more than likely just a reference.

I know what you mean but that appears to be the case!

I used to have to plan out UV maps to excrutiating detail in the old days, before decent UV mapping software was affordable - I had one program Materialize3D that let you select polygons, then specify UV coords that they would fit into. A very low polygon model took ages to do, don't want to think how annoying it would be to do that with todays polygon counts.

Anyhoo I digress, Neodelito, please give us some info about your workflow techniques, I always find this stuff interesting.

Looks very good for the style. Reminds me of the original Soul Reaver game for the PS1. Any chance for a video of him in action..or a wire shot?

Great work.
