Hey,
For uv mapping with wings3d i would like to know how to save a uv map so i can open it up in Paint.net or to open a texture from paint into wings uv mapping picture thing. this would realy help me as ive spent hours trying to texture a face ive modeled

one just saves the model, then when you open the model the UV map will be their also. Ive made models in wings 3d, UV mapped it, saved it, then opened the model in ultimate Unwap3D, tweaked the UV, as it has better fine tuning, then eported out the UV map texture showing the wireframe. then used photoshop to paint it, or if I dont tweak it in U U3D Id open the model in Deep Paint, a 3d paint program, and it opens the model and the UV map, then I paint it in that, and export out the UV texture when done. So lesson is, the UV is already in the model, if you want the UV texture, export it out, I think wings3D has an option to export out the UV texture map, but ive forgotten which button it is, have a look around for export the UV map texture in wings.

Thanks i will look around to find the export button for the uv. Is deep paint free?

No, nopt free, not cheap either, though I think there are free alternatives, in fact I know there is.
