Don't know how I managed to miss this, but all this time I've been wanting efx back and I forgot to check their website.

Turns out Helix have been developing the next version, codenamed "Phantom". For more information, check their german blog:

However, I'll spare Nighthawk the words:

I'm pretty sure that the efxMod team doesn't want another Reza Igi situation again. For those who didn't know of this unfortunate occuring, he illegally used efxMod for his game and didn't abide by the noncommercial license. Let this be a warning, don't tick off the mod team again, as they might even stop developing it due to idiots not abiding by any rules.

Of course. I should point out that currently the mod is in internal BETA stage, so don't expect any releases any time soon. Ad there's no guarantee it'll be free either.
