most cafes i went to that didnt have a games section ran DT so slow it was not even playable. Im talking durons with crappy s3 cards and the like. Not very inspiring for the low end machines, ITs really noticable when the machine has a crap video card but can tolerate it if it had something more powerfull.

most places would not let me even download it because of the bad users stuffing up previous systems.

anyway bypassing most of there protection i get it to run a few times on a few and other places with win2k locked down machines i couldnt even get to the zip itself.

anyway after a few of these im thinking to my self bah there just crappy cards,So I find a gaming lan shop in glebe and sit in the back with 12 teenagers blowing each other up with CS and age of camelot.

Anyway Im next to the softdrink fridge thinking here we go again another crappy fps check. IT friggen flew! the machine i was on was a 2.1 ghz with a gf5 and omg it was nice to play and smooth as silk.

I had only 16k of polys on the screen as well, mm nice.

I pulled up the editor and it was smooth as silk aslo.

I capped DT to 60 fps in my alpha builds and this machine was always near 56 fps except for places where i knew there would a slow down and even then it was 28 fps.

I came home with a better idea of what system will handle DT.

yeah... dbpro once your out of the domain of the better 3d accelerators just does pretty poorly.

really a GeForce2mx is the least i'd recommend for any serious use.
but i'm sure with some tweaking and such it can all be edited to go fast

good to know you've got some café in your are with low end machines, ones around here are useless unless you wanna play games or scan the net - most at P4 1.5ghz w/Radeon 9x00s, fantastic for gaming ... not so good for testing.

i generally use my Duron800 w/S3 Savage4 Pro w/128Mb Ram for testing gives some good scores of lowend systems.
you could probably pick one up for a matter of a $100-200 (in aussie thats like double isn't it?) ... but still probably pretty cheap to do.
