No, you can't. Unfortunately I don't have the licence available now, but this is explicit, something about "you may not release a software that allows further games to be developed".

It is only permited if you create some kind of plugin or framework that integrates to dgdk and make use of it, as the person who paid for it would still have to buy DGDK to compile his/her games.

You can't. You can only create shareware game, so no tools, game makers, image management, etc. Very restrictive license

Please be clear about this and read on this page.

'An un-restricted royalty-free license to sell whatever you make'

So there you have it..

Cheers,

IIRC, they have a line very similar to that in the DBP EULA.

I think the main issue is with directly wrapping the functionality of the engine; for example, if you were to write a script language in DBP(or DGDK) that had all the native DBP commands IN it, that would be a problem.

I think that's what it is referring to.

You can sell anything you make with it as long as your not trying to pass the core functionality of DGDK off as something you made.

mods are not employees of TGC and can not give you a legally binding answer. If you need that type of answer, you must contact TGC, and get a clarification from them.

If you wonder if it is the right thing to do, it probably isn't.

You can not release any software that allows further games to be developed. PERIOD!

Just read 1.4 (a) from the Commercial EULA:

Quote: "1.4 For the purposes of this Agreement the term "Game" means an interactive entertainment software game whose sole purpose is to entertain its user without further modification and which is made using the Software in accordance with its associated documentation. The term Game expressly excludes:
(a) any software tool or software product which can (or might) be used in order to create further games or other software products;
(b) any software programming language or software development kit ("SDK")
; and
(c) any software library, compilation or collection of graphics and / or sounds from which a particular graphic or sound may be extracted to be used independently of the software in which it was first incorporated;
in each case irrespective of whether or not the primary purpose of such software is to entertain its user."
