OK, i've been working on a Beretta model for use in an upcoming Soharix game, I've been working off a reference image i found off the net, so i don't know exactly what model it is (Maybe someone here will know?) anyway: here are the pics.

Looks good!
But from what I know the top of the gun is rounder on some parts.
Try to find a picture of it from a better angle.

[Edit] I tought you meant the Beretta M9 Or maybe you are..

that was the reference i used, but i changed a few things, because it's meant as a terrorist style waepon, and i'm putting on a wooden handle and things, so really, it's amix of 2 Berettas

The grip looks a little odd. Make its shorter maybe?

Would you give us a wireframe please?

I think overall, it looks good.

The texture is blurry, and a cardboard cut-out. Neither of these are good things.

You'll need to texture the everything else, not just the sides.

Your signature has been erased by a mod - Please reduce the combined size to 600x120 maximum size

You seem to go around saying lots of things are cardboard cut-outs. That would imply that it is totally flat - this is not the case here. It could use a little more depth (the trigger guard for example) but other than that it is certainly a step above a cardboard cut-out.

Anyways, to improve the model, I'd recommend thinning the sight and the trigger guard

Try looking for metal tutorials and build your texture from scratch, it does look like you just ripped an image from google.
Other than the texture its looking pretty good, i can see a few areas where you could probably get away with getting rid of a few polygons, most noticeably on the end of the barrel there are too many there for no point. If its for a first person shooter it is not going to be seen at all, if its for a third person shooter you probably wouldn't get close enough to notice the barrel at all.

yeh, you'r right oolite thanks, the texture is only temporary and will be replaced later, this was just so that i had something to put on the UV map XD

The poly's are like that on the barrel, because i subdivided the polies there to make it round, i should probs have just beveled the edges but it's something to know for next time i guess.

Thanks for the positive comments and i'm trying to fix the things that have been pointed out

@airslide from my opnion it does look like a cardboard cut out but i also agree that alot of things aagren has seen he says are cardboard cut

@blobby The handle needs to be put on more of an angle which would be more comfortable if a real hand were holding it. Unlike your gun which seams the handle is going close to straight down. as said above would be good to make your texture from scratch it will look smother in the end and maybe redo your model to give some of those edges a bit of smoothness.

Your model isn't bad it just needs some fine touches
