Just watched the video and I must say, I am very impressed!

The graphical detail has been practically drop kicked far above the official FPSC.

Great work! I especially enjoyed the autofocusing bloom, nice touch.

Dark Goblin It really is a shame that you couldn't you have been working on FPSC's Migration for TGC.

Very nice work. I hope one day I'll be able to use test it out.

@ Dark Goblin & Rest of efx Team:

Can I be really presumptuous and make a request: aperture effects.
I don't know how best to explain it but if you've got time of day, the saturation should be higher towards midday and lower in the evening, possibly a blue-hue towards midnight if there is a moon, that sort of thing.

Or does it already do that? And I'm loving the way the skybox darkens/lightens as the sun rises and sets. That's excellent.

Wow, that is one of the coolest things I've seen for FPSC. ToD looks just amazing, as does the auto focussing bloom. I need this mod!

WOW

I thought I was watching a Leadwerks engine 2 demo.

Is it possible to purchase an early adopters version of this?

Progress seems to be going remarkably well here.

well on the german board i started a test with 5 guys, but the overall performance is really bad.
Some have a FPS around 30 (which is good!).
Others can`t get it to work or have just 1-3FPS... but with a low End-PC (Nvidie 6600 or something).

But i have a high-performance version without DoF and LightRays which runs at 100FPS for me... but we will make some performance improvements i think.

@Nomad Soul:
i don`t think so

OK I have a question, how will it run on a 1GB RAM Vista with a 8400GS 512MB with X10.1 if you have any idea? I really like the look of this, keep it up lol .

but it should be around 30FPS i think. don`t know what system is needed. also the CPU makes a better performance if you have a good one.

but it should run

The processor is a Dual Core 2.4GHz btw . It runs Crysis moderately well with shaders, shadows, post-processing and textures on medium at around 15FPS average, not bad for a 'Home' computer (type is according to PCWORLD).

Anyway, I love the autofocus on the bloom, but the parallax mapping wan't very noticeable in the video, perhaps because the player was going a bit too fast...

@DG: Bit hard to fully appreciate it in YouTube quality but from what I can make out it seems to be excellent.

Can I ask, is making those levels as easy as placing the elements in FPSC normally is or is there lots of tweaking to get it right?

When are you going to release this?
Because I know my computer will run this beauty right?

OS - Windows Vista Ultimate 64 Bit
CPU - AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ 2.7GHz
Memory - 2046MB RAM 800MHz

Graphics Card - Nvidia Geforce 9600 GSO
Dedicated Memory - 384MB DDR3 Memory
Total Memory - 1141MB DDR3 Memory

Yall should credit Evolved for provide the best graphics I've every seen, coming equal to Xbox 360's game graphics.
Evolved should be called the "Shader God".

Why would you get Vista 64bit with 2GB of RAM? Aside from a few other small things, the whole reason people use 64bit is to take advantage of 4GB+ RAM

I can't with simple words express how amazed I am by this mod. It has nearly all the features I've always wanted to have, the only missing ones being joint physics and ragdolls. But I'm not sure they'd count, as they're not visual features, which seems to be the main focus for the mod.

By the way, will the user be able to de-activate certain features? If say you'd like to run a game on a more lower-end mid/high-end system (if that makes sense ), then you could de-activate the auto-focus or maybe the bloom effect as a whole. Or have the option to switch between parallax and ordinary bumps?

Everytime I see this mod it looks more unbelieavable.

The last tech demo was on par with any commercial game engines I've seen.

The scifi video looks like it was made using Unreal Engine 3.

I'm going to have a break from looking at this thread for a while as the anticipation of a beta release is killing me.

Its going to be weird using a v107 mod of FPSC as the primary version going forward. The only thing I'd recommend in the absence of a more recent FPSC source code release is trying to get the 360 controller support in as we'll be able to make next gen console quality games with this mod in all but the controls right now.

I'm just imagining that scifi level with some bond1 characters using his latest shader model 3 shaders. O.M.G

My comp is a little lacking with the video cardbut it would still run great.

Vista x64
4066 mb RAM
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.66ghz with 2mb L2 cache
Nvidea 9800gt 512 mb

And Dark Goblin, this mod is unbelievably cool!

This mod continues to be more comparable with Unreal Engine 3 by the day.

So now that we will be able to make games that look as good as XBOX 360 what are your thoughts on the future of this engine?

Please keep the updates coming. Many of us need to know how things are progressing on a daily basis if possible.

The migration will come, and people will switch over to it. DG will have to re-write his mod into the migration source code.
