I have started working on a Level/World Editor. Originally it was part of an RPG engine i am currently working on, but I thought that it could be a useful tool for DBPro so i started a re-write. As you can see from the video below i havent added any GUI yet, but it will come soon. At the minute it is all controlled via the keyboard.

It is designed to be similar to the FPSC map editor so it is easy and simple

Features:

*Matrix editor
*Level previewer
*Load and visually position objects
*Add lights
*Load/Save maps
*Export to .dba
*And much more to come

Here is a video, sorry for the fairly poor quality:

Looks neat. Since you're using a matrix you'll be using a tiled texture, correct? How are you going to handle texturing each square of the matrix a different type (mountain, grass, etc) and have nice transitions? I've never tried that before... nice work so far!

I'm not a real programmer but I play one with DBPro!

Seems nice. Could need a "Set height" on the matrix editor.
And use the mouse more, you where not moving the mouse AT ALL!

Yeah im using tiled texture at the minute, i am going to try and work on multiple textures soon, i think this can be done through memblocks although i will have to do a bit of research. Although im determined and i will get it eventually Any advice?

I will also add a set height feature, and other feature such as randomize and flatten etc. I plan to start work on the gui next, once that is implemented then there will be a lot more use of the mouse, at the minute there was no need to use the mouse because it was all done using keyboard shortcuts, but that will change when there is a toolbar etc...
