Dark GDK / Installation woes

I'm attempting to install Dark Gdk, so i downloaded the required files. Upon attempting to install the DXsdk(aug 2008) it halts near the end stating that the XAUDIO2 drivers in the bundle have expired. Any attempt to abort or continue the dx install just keeps looping to this pop box error. I'm then forced to cancel the entire install.

I then attempted to install the Nov 2008 Dx sdk and it iinstalls fine but the DarkGDK.msi fails to reconginize that I have installed that directX sdk and it aborts complaining it cannot find the Aug2008 DX Sdk.

Anyone had this problem and have a work around? thanks.

I believe you have to get the August 2007 version not the '08.
