This is so odd...

When I use your first character shader, the zombie looks like this.

When I use any other shader (with some exception like bump and fastbone) he just goes completely transparent.

@Pride: WHat zombie are you using it on? The shaders all work 100% or Model pack 21 & 22 characters.

Well, I guess a fix would be to use your weapon shader, which works on spawned items and looks actually pretty superb. I'll stick with this and see if I can fix the issue for the bumpbone and such.

Seeing as I am writing a major game, I have taken a lot of looks into shader development, and its coming along just fine.
So CoZ, do I have the permission to use some of these shaders in a not fpsc fantasy rpg/rts style game? With you credited of course

@Pride: I have now fixed this problem, it's all to do with your version on FPSC. Basicly downgrade to V.109 of FPSC then use s4reals latest MOD. Thats the setup im using (along with juzi) and I dont have a single bug

@Rampage: Sure!, go ahead mate!

Stay tuned for more shaders

Is the lightmapping in S4's mod crappy (the ambiance is always 0 and the intensity is always low)? If it ain't, then S4's mod can say hell to me!

I shall probably be releasing a improved version of the phong + Specular shader posted by R.W for you guys to use on your characters (Until this bloody FPSC bug gets fixed!)

@Red Eye: The path for the window Fix is posted on the previous page in this thread! Thanks for you contribution.

@All: I shall be emailing Lee tomorrow to request that maybe all or some of the shaders be included in the source, so it would allow such things as controling my shaders with in game sliders

Please also ask about X10 because they are sorta working in it the relief shader looks pretty cool in it and it would be awesome to see one with a little more polys on it for more powerful users. That is just a suggestion, but still would be really cool.

@All: I have just emailed Lee requesting that maybe my shaders could be intergrated into the source, and also, that the FPSC shader bug be fixed.
All I have to do now is wait for a reply!

@All!: FPSC Shader Bug fix!

- Use the 'appear 2' script in the "start" field of the enemy when spawning them from trigger zones. All of my shaders etc will work fine now.

Thanks to S4real for the info!

I am not adding anything else to the X9 and X10 updates, just tweaks and fixes. The best tmie to consider souping up the shaders will be the migration development when I will be opening up the source code and adding some nice things. When the migration development (and beta) starts, email me again and we can look at how we can expand the shader system both internally and for custom additions to the shaders used in the games.

Looks like there could be a possibility then. We shall just have to wait for it to happen though.

Hey guys, every time I apply the shader, when running the test game, the objects/segments show up black and without texture.

Both ways, if I apply the effect to the segment in segment editor, I get black segments (it seems to show in editor) but when running the test game all textures are black.

If I input an entity into the game and add the effect, it too shows up as black when running the test game.

@CoZ: Just a question. Is the relief also for segements? And if so, can you show us a picture of stones [texture] with relief mapping working? That would be great ...

this is almost certainly impossible but can you make the DOF ajust to the surface you look at?

Just a guess, but might it be so that Blue High has had some recent added features in form of shaders?

EDIT: Hm, the fact that the debug info is also blurred out says otherwise.

@Ocho Geek: Would you mind explaining your comment, because I will happilly post a video to prove otherwise.

@Roger Wilco: Same goes to you. The debug info is blurred because of the way the shader works

Are you using the ENB Series to accomplish this DoF-Effect?

Fact is that DoF is a Fullscreen Shader that can't be used without editing the Code of a Game/Program or whatsoever, so personally I don't know how you could get it to work.

And because of the way how the Debug Info is blurred... I'd say it's from the ENB Series, correct me if I'm wrong.

However, looks quite good to me.

@GOH Doomster: I contacted Boris Vorontsov ( The creator of ENB) and requested permission for use in FPSC. He said "Sure no problem", and then we got talking about a specialised build for me that I could use in FPSC alongside my shaders. And voila!, Now all effects are loaded automaticly without a keyboard shortcut, and all performance issuses have been ironed out, so the FPS stays silky smooth, even in the fianl built game.

Life is good!

Indeed it is! Is it bug free? If so, what are you waiting for? Gimme gimme!

Actually on a serious note, that's quite good because it decreases the need for the antialiasing that i've been doing a lot of at the moment.
