Hey,

Who uses CB Model Pro, is it good? I mean the interface and the poly count, can I decrease the poly count? Things like that...

Thanks in advance,

NO. Just no. Seriously, if you're gonna use it for entertainment, go for it, but for serious modeling, chuck it in the bin. It SUCKS for serious modeling.

I'd stick with Blender. It's free, powerful, well documented, has a great community and their is plenty of books and tutorials on it. Maya also had a learning edition for free, but I'm not sure what the limitations are on it. It's been a while since I've touched it.

EDIT: Plus CB's in beta still... stay way from that. As for the polycount? That all depends on you, the artist!

CB is alright for some things but not for games. If you want some fast cartoonish models CB is great. I made a dobby type head in CB and then textured it in max and not its my tgc sore icon.

You honestly need to see other stuff. If you think about the terms of the mesh that is one messy mesh, its only good for two things..
1.Good to make Normal maps with.
2.High Poly models.
Trust me. Keep with another program.

At the moment, i use blender and 3dsmax, and zbrush trial(because dunno if it is good for what i want).. and some other little things, like google sketchup and other like milkshape, just wanted to see what you guys like?

I'd say keep with them, also ZBrush is useful if you want to start making normal maps. But I'd suggest more for organic models or guns.

I agree with Sid Sinister, blender is pretty good. You can go to their website, click the link for features and galleries, and explore some pictures and movies made in blender. They are pretty good. (PS: blender can export models as .obj and .x, and you can animate the objects in the program itself with its bone functions and other animation styles.)

I wasn't getting angry. If you watched Anchorman, you'd see that most of my humour is kinda similar.
