hi ..
i'm making a platform game , and i need help ..
as a test i made a plane (floor) , cube(character ) , and another big cube (block/platform)
i made a Bool var called " gravity" .. if it's set to 1 , it will move down , while 0 will mean it won't move down

i dunno what to do really , i could do it in 2d in a simple way , but in 3d it's really .. dosen't work ..
any ideas?

well , i don't know from where to start , it's not like i'm a noob or so -_-

but well , it goes like this ,
i can't think of suitable 3d event that will lead the gravity var be set to 0 , in 2d i was checking if there is an object below it , but since we are in 3d , there are more into that , so iam confused.

what i need , simply , are ideas .. share some of your experience with me , that's it , i still insist to write the code by my own and i already have some EXP in darkGDK , but what i miss here is the experience with gravity law in 3d ...
so ya .. any ideas?
(i simply need simple ideas , like as i said a way to set gravity to 0 )

perhaps...

if this works for you you may want to account for the size of the character by saying for example objectX+objectsizeX<platformX or you player will fall through part of the platform. this is untested so i hope it works and also will only work for square platforms.
