Whether it is possible to make so that the DarkGDK program (game) worked without framework 3.5?

you mean .NET framework 3.5?

DarkGDK does not use .NET just DirectX9

bjadams,

yes - framework 3.5.

The games written on a C++/Dark GDK do not work without a framework!

(d3dx9_35.dll+ game.exe + media) - It is not enough, the framework is necessary also. Or?

There are two flavors of the DarkGDK. There is a C++ version known as the DarkGDK, and there is a .NET based version intended for use in C# and Visual Basic.NET called the DarkGDK.NET.

The DarkGDK is free and relies on a specific version of DirectX to be installed (August 2007 release I believe), and the VC++ 2008 redistributable runtime to be installed.

The DarkGDK.NET is $30 (US) and also relies on a specific version of DirectX (August 2007 release), as well as the .NET framework version 3.5 (I believe Mono will work as well) to be installed.

pirogoth, I know it.

I have sent game (DarkGDK) to my friend, and game does not work for it:

(The application has failed to start because its side-by-syde configuration is incorrect...)

You don't need any framework!

The side-by-side configuration error you are getting is a problem with the new DarkGDK update. The "old" DarkGDK does not have this problem.

The new DarkGDK November build is somehow not including the Manifest file.

Putting the file Microsoft.VC90.CRT.manifest in the same folder as the exe solves the problem.

Check this thread, at the end there is a sample manifest file. if you distribute this file with your game all works. I hope that TGC fix this one soon.
