Hi,

After a week of bug squashing and code optimizing I'm happy to announce the Dark GDK version of treeparty is nearing completion! I still have a few ends to clean up but the over all system has been successfully ported to DGDK. I spent the weekend writing a demo ( screenshot included ) demonstrating treeparty being used under Dark GDK. I love how its' turned out. The demo will show day, night and stormy weather conditions and how the trees react to each stage.

As I mentioned, still a few ends to clean up but I'll release the demo tomorrow(hopefully) and the .lib/cpp later this week.

cya!

Wow! Color me impressed. I'd be inclined to use it just to produce picture calendars.

Thanks for the comments ..

I've decided to add a few additional features to the demo so It's taking a little bit longer than I'd hoped but should still be completed by tonight at the latest.

The good news is I've completed cleaning up all the loose ends and went back over the code and heavily commented everything so finding what each code block does is a snap. I've also decided to release this as a .cpp + header file instead of compiling to a lib. Myself, I prefer this as you never know what a developer may want to change to suit their particular need.

I'll post the demo in this thread once I have it compiled and uploaded..

Hey guys, sorry for the delay - had some electrical failure on my street this evening and was without power for quite awhile .

Anyways, I've finished the demo and compiled it.. You can download it here - http://www.gothasoft.com/index.php?option=com_docman&task=cat_view&gid=43&Itemid=78

Also posted two screenshots on my website, one from the day and one from the night cycle.

Day - http://www.gothasoft.com/images/Blog_Images/screenshots/treepartyDPE/gdk1.jpg
Night - http://www.gothasoft.com/images/Blog_Images/screenshots/treepartyDPE/gdk2.jpg

The DGDK version uses the same function calls as the Dbpro version but I had to rename the functions to get everything working in the header file. In doing so it means I need to make some changes to the docs and that's gonna take me another day. So hopefully by Friday morning I'll have everything ready to send to TGC and then out to you guys.

Enjoy the demo!

Cya.

I just finished posting the 1.12 install to TGC so it should be live for you guys in a day or two.

Changes in 1.12

Version 1.12
-Corrected several treeID errors throughout the scale, rotate and position methods.

-dt_ProngScale(), dt_Scale(), dt_AddYScale() and dt_XScaleX all work in real-time as they were originally ment to.

-Added DarkGDK Edition to the package.
