Dark GDK / Detail in terrain texture

Hi everyone

I already search for this and I think nobody has mentioned this issue.

With the “dbSetTerrainTexture ( int iID, int iBase, int iDetail )” command, using a detail in the terrain texture, will make the game heavier, and this can make the FPS drop.

Not using the detail in the texture, can make the game incredibly fast. BUT, the terrain looks awful without detail.

Is there a way to handle a detail in the terrain texture having the same results than without the detail? Or at least, very close results?
