Hey FPSC community!
Hi guys and girls. For a while now I have been wanting to learn at least some of the basics to modeling.
I feel bad for taking peoples free models that they work so hard on and give nothing in return apart from a little "Thanks!!"

So I descided to get a modeling program.
I have TrueSpace 7.6 I dont know if it works well or if it is to complex for me (REALY seems like it) but I saw my friend creating one or two small models, so i got it.

Now my problem is that I suck, I have also browsed the website and it provides alot of free tuts, however they are very higher level, such as Learning how to model a face ect.

I would just like a few tips of how to even shape an object.

I took a cylinder and tried my very best to make a Pipe, but my word... every time I try to curve the top of the pipe, it ends up going side ways or down... but never FORWARD!!!

Please guys and girls, a little help would go a LONG LONG LONG way.. I need it.

Thanks so much!

ive never used TrueSpace. (or heard of it either )

if you want to use a quick easy way to model get sketchup.
but otherwise i would recommend milkshape or anim8or.

Hey Foamy I think you should give anim8tor a try its what Im using its really easy I know at the mo I've only made two models but the better you get the better programs you can use and Avenged Eagle made a awsome tut on how to get anim8tor objects into a game so I would really consider it if your just starting out.

If not good luck and I look forward to seeing what you can come up with
