Hey guys, long time no see. I was out for a few months experimenting with Torque Game Engine. I recently had an idea for a great First Person Non-Shooter (Which I hope to post about in the WIP section soon), but I need a little help from the community in the way of a question needing to be answered.

What FPE do I need to edit to get the shaders to work on my segments?

I have done nothing but search, search and search the forums for the last three days (my fiancee is getting a little restless).

Soooo, if anyone has the answer, please tell me... Thanks!

Unhelpful Titles

Please do not simply write "Noob Question", "I am a newb", "One Noobie Question", "A question", "Please help", "This isn't working" or anything similar as the title of your post. We have a search facility, and meaningless titles do not help others find answers to their questions. It will also help you to get quicker responses if people have an idea of your thread content.

Sorry, I just read your sticky... I haven't been on the forum in a while and wasn't aware of the crackdown. If it isn't a trouble, could you rename my post to "Quick question about segment shaders" or something to that effect? Thanks

Welcome back! Unfortunately, there isn't much you can do to get the shaders working, if you mean in X9. Shader effects and static lightmapping doesn't seem to cooperate very well. It's possible to come up with creative workarounds, but they're all very time-consuming and rather complicated.

Well, that's okay... I decided to go for a different type of visual style for my new game. Hope they work something out in the migration
