Hey guys just created another little model now Im only a n00b at this so it is basic and the texture went a bit wrong because whilst I was creating the entity I wasn't letting me use two textures for the desired result so its all one texture but I still think it looks rather nice oh ye and its a log

If you want I could put it up for download but I still might make a few tweaks if I get time.

Hey guys and so you can more understand what the texture problem was, this is the original when I made it.

Does anybody know how to type in more than one texture in 'MakingEntitysFrom.XFiles' so my models look better?

And thanks for all the comments and keep them coming along with any advice

Well I'm not sure which software allows you to do so maybe 3dmax??
But you have to map 3 or 4 textures on to your model by selecting each polygon or face and apply the texture then export the uv map which should combine all the textures into a single mapped texture.

If it's not a very complicated model with 2 or 3 textures you could always use something like photo shop or any graphics editing software cut out each section of each texture you want to use and paste it into a single texture resizing the texture to 1024 x 1024 or 512 x 512.

Then use something like lithunwrap which is free and map the faces onto each texture painless easy and quick.

This method doesn't work on complicated models but would be perfect for a log if you can't afford software able to do so.

I'm sure there is free software out there that will allow you to export uv maps with more than 1 texture.I haven't really looked as I don't usually make super complicated models using more than one texture.
