I had some time over, and made some pretty good looking handretextures (at least what I think ).
And now I wonder if anyone would be intrested in a pack of these, and would you pay for them? (and how much?)

These are 100% new textures, nothing is left from the old hand texture since I started with only the UV map in front of me

For the moment there are 5 major variations, with 4 variations each:
-Basic hand
-Fingerless leatherglove
-Leatherglove
-Cammoglove
-Olivegreen glove

All comes with the following variations:
-Basic
-With tattoo
-Wounded
-Tattoo and wounded.

Any C&C are welcome.

maybe you could do one that was a soldier on cammo (perhaps with his sleeves back I mean like these sleeves: http://www.militaerbuch.com/images/plakatsowiewirkaempften_152.gif just on a cammo not brown uniform that'd be cool!)

That was an extremely constructive post Shooter

Why are they dumb to you? Why wouldn't you use the others? Don't criticize unless you have something that you think could make them better...

They are nice, but unless they are seamless (the original Model-Pack 6 textures are NOT seamless), you wont be getting any buys from me.

Very nice work. The tattoo looks great. It may be a bit strong... perhaps faded a bit and a little blue tint? The wound is another great idea, but yours looks more like a carpet burn. Loose that dinner if you have to and make a gash in that arm!

Best.

The ability to pick out the shrapnel would be even cooler. But we're not working with the Dunia engine, unfortunately...

Anyhow, the retextures look very nice. Any chance for a more close-up pic to see the detail?

great stuff BVG, id would buy if you made more

i tell you what i would deffinately buy
a packof textures that cover all the weapon model packs that make all the hands look as similar as possible. Would make using the different packs in the same game so much easier

if you did some thing like that id deff buy

also i like the tattoos, maybe do some dif designs, diff colours, maybe a full sleeve tatoo..
keep up the good work

OK, saying they are seamless,

Can we have some larger screenshots/renders of the untatood arms? (Both gloved and non-gloved)

Maybe I think you're dumb, but I don't say it to your face, do I? Not that I do think that you're dumb, I'm just saying...

They look pretty awesome BVG, but that's nothing new from the likes of you.

...I tend to agree. The tatts aren't quite realistic looking.

Time, body chemistry, and UV light cause the dyes to fade. The 100% black would never be present in any tattoo that wasn't freshly inked.

These were giving me a cool idea of if you get to a certin health the arms change from normal to wounded that give games a bit more realism.

I would say that the tattoos would look better with the opacity set to between 75-90 to show some of the skin through them and maybe change from black to dark blue.

Otherwise great and allot could be done to the blood im seeing very gory images now lol

Good Luck

These look excellent! But yeah I agree with the comments about loweing the opacity of the tatoo. Even a brand spanking new tatoo will show the skin, and just fade even more over time.

Perhaps setting the tatoo layer's blending to overlay or soft light? Experiment a bit with opacity and blending options and you'll eventually find the perfect look.

I have many tats and they do tend to fade depending on ink used and time inthe sun.

Thanks everyone!

Regarding the tattoo, I saw that I had the opacity at 100%, wich wasn´t the plan from the beginning
Looks better at about 80%

Quote: "They are nice, but unless they are seamless (the original Model-Pack 6 textures are NOT seamless), you wont be getting any buys from me.

They are as seamless as I can get them, of course I could spend a lot more work on it, but as it looks now its not worth it

Bigger screens:

Some upcomming variations:
-Better wounded
-Bandaged
-Leathersuit
-Half man, half robot
-Robot/Cyborg á Crysis
-Afroamerican
-Lady

Any ideas are welcome.
I will also try to make a version wich is "crosspack", one texture for each modelpack (5,6 and 9/10) wich looks the same.

let me say this. u did a exelent job i was just saying i wouldnt use many of them because i thought u wanted people to say if they would buy it or not. i would probably uy it if u made an ungloved african-american arm. that would be real cool.

I understand you.
And of course I have an ungloved version of it.

@Everyone

What do you tink about that I put up all textures for sale as single pieces, with a price of lets say $0,5?
Then you dont have to buy a pack of textures if you only want one or two of them.

And when I got enough textures in a cathegory I will put up a pack with them.

What do you think?

Thanks Seth Black!
But I think I will make small packs with the same variation (gloved ones for example), since it feels wrong to sell many similliar (with blood, with no blood, with tattoo, with no tatto etc).

Would you be willing to pay $2 for 8 textures (8 variations of one texture) wich are 100% ready to be used in FPSC? Just rename it to Hand_d2 and place in the right folder.

Like the ones here:

The first pack has now been released:
http://antiqu3d.110mb.com/index.php?p=1_2_Weapons

If $2 is to much I will lower it, next packs to be released are the leathergloved and african-american ones.

And hopefully a "crosspack"pack too

Thanks!

But to be honest, even if these are complete new textures they allmost looks the same as the oringinal, wich means that many people wont buy them for such a price.
The gloved ones wont be as chep

I am curently working on the website so that you can pick wich texture you want.

Now I have 3 single textures aviable at my site, 2 is included in the basic pack, and one is the leather glove.

http://antiqu3d.110mb.com/index.php?p=1_9

You get your product directly after purchase, only takes minutes, 24/7

[off topic]
I dont want to start a new thread about it, so I ask here.
Would you be interested in buying weapons wich have no sounds (but are synced so that you just can copy the sounds from an existing gun in the gamecore/guns)?

I am having trouble finding sounds for them, and they would just lie there anyways. Maybe a few $ each. What do you think?

Do I need model pack #6 for them to work? I'm guessing yes. Unfortunately that will probably preclude me from buying for the moment. Great textures. Great job. Reasonably priced and maybe too extreme on the low end. However this should allow a lot more people to buy.

Addendum:

I have model pack #9. Any chance they would work for that pack?

Umm, this is a little disappointing. I bought the fingerless gloves, but when I went to download, the download is invalid. Here is the receipt, please send a working link to my email address (davybear(at)hotmail(dot)com).

Yes, you need Modelpack 6, or any usercreated gun using the Modelpack 6 arms (like darimcs if I dont remember wrong).

@Darimc
Thats weird, I will send them right away.
Thanks for telling.
