Hello,

In my game, I'm only using .x files for the 3D-objects. That objects have animation and boned animation.

You need a quite good PC (especially RAM and VRAM) to play my game fluently.

I've heard, that x-Files need a lot of RAM, so would it be helpful, if I convert all the objects to another format?

In the documentation I find this:
Quote: "You must specify a model in the X, 3DS, MDL, MD2 or MD3 format. "

So wich of that formats is the best? Do I have to mind something special with one format (e.g no boned animation possible)?

regards

When I tried it with .x, it worked fine for me with almost no lag and i only have 512/64 (RAM/VRAM). But when i loaded .3DS, it lagged the crap out of my computer, no matter which model i used.

Yea, same here, 3ds models absolutely will not load for me, it just freezes up my computer. .x files work well so far with me.
