I'm trying to learn scripting. So I wanted to create a script that would display "TRIGGERED" when I walked over a trigger marker.

So I tried...

I tried using hudimagefine=gamecore\text\help.dds
I tried using hudimagefine=languagebank\english\gamecore\text\help.dds
I tried putting my dds and tga images into the FPS Creator\Files\gamecore\huds folder.
I tried using the lockeddoor.tga and .dds files before I made my own help.dds and help.tga files.

I'm not having anyluck.
Can anyone clarify this for me?

Okay, I got it to work. I'll write up a tutorial on it if anyone replies to this thread expressing interest.

But one thing I'm still not sure on is why the folders have a .dds and a .tga copy of each image.

I believe it would be of interest to anyone searching for answers to the same thing. Like this guy. I would write the tutorial personally, just to help with searching.
