Hey folks,

It's been a while since I've posted about my game so I thought I'd show you whats going on.

Here are a pair of screenshots of the game.

This looks quite professional but don't you think that you should tell people in the thread title that there's blood and gore in the thread? I wasn't expecting that much loose tomato sauce even if it is called Bloodshed Tournament.

Nex is right. The graphics look nice, but I would never play a game with gore like that.

Hey guys,

I do apologize about that, I guess it's become second nature to me in games. Anyways I've corrected the problem, by the way there is an option in the game to have it turned off. Thanks for the constructive feedback.

I understand people's feelings towards blood and gore, although I myself prefer to play with at least some level of it. In the correct dosage it gives the player the feeling that they are doing real damage, although in excess you just think you're shooting at a compressed ketchup bottle...

The screenshots look extraordinary. The art looked familiar at first, and then I checked your profile and found your thread on Project Cru-Mun to jog my memory. I remember the demo ran VERY smooth, and it looks like this version will as-well.

I like the art style, although the AK's texture seems a little out of place and the screenshots seem a bit empty. Perhaps some trash and more objects to clutter the place up? It would provide additional cover as-well, unless you are aiming for a UT style of gameplay.

Good eye sir! Yes Bloodshed Tournament in its earlier stage was called "Project Cru-Mun". I am not sure what reminded you, perhaps it was the couch in one of the screenshots.

Ya, looking back there isn't a whole lot of totally obvious resemblance, there's just some sort of feel to it. Might be nothing more than the texture on the grenade or the couch, hehe

Can't wait until the public demo. I hope you have some form of bots, even if pretty stupid, because I never really got to test out the multiplayer in the old version.

Games looks amazing, reminds me of CS and Crossfire. Is this going to a free, or published game? Either way, I will be getting it.

I loved project Cru-Mun! I wondered what happened to this thing, and I've been ignoring this thread for a while now lol. It's nice to see it brought back.

Ah, were you one of the few who actually played it online? Thanks for the support, though I have not stopped working on the game since.

Yes I played it online, in fact I even remember the only problem it had: the extremely cluttered HUD, looks like you fixed that though!

I suggest adding non-gore mode to those people who dont like blood.. Like Flowers instead of blood or no blood at all

I believe you can choose in the game if you want blood/gore turned on or turned off.

Oh I remember this game from a year ago or so. Lookin pretty good. My only recommendation is adding more detail to the levels and not leaving so much empty space. Also UV mapping the walls better and making some better textures. But the guns and character look pretty awesome. I am sure you will get this all figured out though. Keep up the awesome work.

BLOOD FTW!!lol Does the player get decapitated everytime or is that just from headshots?

Hey guys,

Thanks again for the feedback.

Quote: "Meteorite: What is the going rate of this game going to be?"

There is no set price at the moment

Quote: "Vorg1: Does the player get decapitated everytime or is that just from headshots?"

No sir, I've just been lucky enough to get a few headshots when taking screenshots.

That is correct, there are currently no bots in the game.

Well it looks ok. It would be cool to include a way to script your own bots for the game. Anyway good luck with it, it seems to be very polished, all tough the levels do need a bit more objects in them. I'm waiting for the video and, of course, the demo. Again, i wish you good luck.

Very awesome DL. The menus are really nice. Also the ablity to change the controls is nice. But the guns sound way underpowered especially the glock, m4, and shotgun. This is Bloodshed Tournament so the guns should sound very powerful. Also I have a very good comp and the framerate was very unsteady even on medium. 250-3. This often caused it to seem to lock a little bit. One other thing I don't know if you realized is the reloading. You only use up clips when you manually reload. You can have unliminted ammo if you just let the ammo in the clip go to 0. Other than that amazing job. This is the closest I've seen to someone making Counterstrike in DBpro. Very good job.

Hey folks,

It's been a while since the last update. I figured it was time to update you guys with the games status. The game has had MAJOR bug fixes along with alot of new code. The network code is alot more stable than the previous version(s). I have also tried to improve on the framerate even more (I've managed to host a game, send a file, and have 2 other clients connected and running on the same computer with little to no notice of network lag while maintaining around 150 frames a second on all 3 games in windowed mode.) I have attached an updated screenshot of the game. You may also notice that I have redone just about everything visual. You may have also noticed the map has a Christmas theme to it, one of the reasons for that is that I plan to release the fully functional demo by Christmas time. (Cross your fingers). Well, I will keep you guys posted with any other news or footage.

Hey guys, Merry Christmas. I've been working on the game for about 13 hours now and have done a good deal of work to it, but unfortunately it seems like the list of things to fix/complete is growing faster than I can work. I will likely have to delay the release of the demo for a few days or so.

Apologies
