I'm not a judge or anything but I checked out the three entries.
Here's what I thought of them...
12hoursentry
Presentation was great throughout. Really great textures
and lighting. Clean and good looking HUD messages, Pretty
load/menu screens, etc. Most developed storyline.
Gameplay was simple but fun.
It also took me the most time to complete though that was
partially from bugs which made me have to start over several
times. Still a lot of gameplay time for such a limited map size.
There were several bugs and other issues. The axe would sometimes
lock up. If I hadn't been familiar with Ply's Mod I might not
have been able to get around it and it did get me killed the first
few times it happened. The only way to unlock the weapon was to
hide it and then take it out again. This mostly happened when
dual wielding.
In level one/first room, I didn't see the marking for the axe and
in level two, the marking was glow-in-the-dark. I never saw a HUD
message for the first door. The messages said M4A1 but I think
the weapon was the G36C (didn't buy it- only bought two axes and
the SAW) When I got to level two, my 2nd axe disappeared.
It was really easy to just kill guys in their spawn areas in the
first room to farm cash. I would recommend having a black
gradient decal on the ground to obscure their feet and making them
coloff (if possible) when they are waiting to come out or putting
a hurtzome or other deterrent to keep the player away from their
spawnpoints.
I fell off the map after taking a right-hand turn past the 2nd
barrier on the 1st level.
I was able to save a game but there was no menu button to load it.
Framerate was good all the way through.
In spite of the bugs this was by far my favorite of the three.
I would really love to see the bugs worked out and the game
expanded. I thought it was really fun and has great potential.

Presentation was good. I liked the loading bar and buttons. The levels were interesting, clean, colorful and shaders
were active.
Gameplay was straight-foreward and though the levels were not
small it was quick to complete.
I didn't really run into any bugs other than the enemies being
frozen for a moment after dying and save/load worked great. It
would have been nice if the crowbar didn't leave bulletholes- just
add noscorch=1 in the gunspec.
I had some slowdown in one of the L-shaped green rooms but
otherwise framerate was good.
This game left me wanting to play more of it.
Oasis
Presentation was pretty rough though I liked the layout of the
first level and thought the exterior are was well designed. The
2nd level wasn't much to look at.
Gameplay was pretty simplistic. The AI just stood in place but the
lack of crosshair forcing the player to use iron sights made it a
bit more challenging as did the FOV change when low health. The
toughest puzzle for me was figuring how to open the hatch and I
felt like an idiot once I figured it out. I really like those
kinds of things.
The axe thing seemed pretty buggy to me. It always worked but it
only looked right when looking foreward. I lol'd when i tried
using it on the hatch! At first I thought some box was following
me around and it sort of freaked me out. I died once and when I
respawned I couldn't use the axe. I was able to save games but
the game would crash when trying to load a saved game.
Framerate was good all the way through.
My favorite part was the room with clouds on the ceiling and the transition thing. I'm not sure if
the room was really supposed to be outside but it struck me as some sort of really odd Truman
Show sort of thing which I thought was pretty cool and surreal.
Technically, I think 12hours was the only entry which met ALL criteria- specifically
Quote: "- The Game's objective must be clear to the player."
because it says what to do on the load screen but as far as I am concerned all three will get the minimum prize from me. If you guys could, please post which weapon(s) you would like from my GCS collection and I will prepare the files while I await scoring and email info from Ply.
Just list like:
#1: choice one for completing an entry.
#2: choice two if enough points are earned.
