Zaibatsu - I have made a working example and posted it here

http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=149246&b=30

as it may be useful to other people and it would be unfair for them to try and find it here. Hope that example helps. Any further problems please post in that thread and include your code/media and I will try and help.

Monk - Thanks for your continued support. Hope you have got past the zombies by now, the trick is - try and not get hit, if they get close just run away and shoot them from a distance. Also look for ammo/health pickups.

Kolp try72y - You can download the game from the address in the first post or the link a few posts up. But here it is again Just in case you can’t find it.

enjoy - its good to know the entry has been accepted, thanks Daniel

Hey, just thought I would give my input. Other than being rather glitchy, I really enjoyed the game. I love how you used Dark AI and everything, the zombies seemed almost human. It's pretty cool how you also have a bunch of different types of enemies, there's only one in my game.

Darimc - Thanks, I hope so too, though there are many good looking entry’s.

Brick Break - I think by glitchy you are meaning the lightning? (Did you not have the sound on and hear the thunder?). I was rather proud of the lightning effect and how it can temporarily blind you at critical moments, but you are not the only one to think it was a graphical glitch. Glad you enjoyed the game and dark AI is very good for this sort of thing and even allowed me to make the bad guys smarter as the levels progress.

Cool game! I ran into an empty room once followed by tons of zombies (I didn't realize they had pathfinding lol) and the killed me . The only thing was that the camera movement was a little jerky when I was playing. Maybe it's just my computer... or was that the effect you were trying to achieve?

This game was actually pretty fun! I got to level 12 with over 1600 kills.

waw just played this game again, yay my names on the thanks lol ^-^

Jammy, monks name is before mine am i not good enough lol j/k

waw really like this game, my friend created the same sort of game except using advanced terrain, but without the extra enemies he only used the zombies and the mutants. Was pretty cool idea of the arms swinging when you rotate left and right

The lightning was a bit bright though xD, overall pretty darn cool

maby make it harder
i found a very easy way to keep leveling
1.) run around the place pulling all mobs
2.) once you pulled em all run backwards to a corner
3.) shoot your ak-47 in short blasts at them
4.) when theres few left use the shotgun to save on ak-47 ammo
5.) repeat

Sixty Squares - The path finding is all down to Dark AI and it works well. You should not have a jerky camera - sorry it must be your computer, the lowest spec pc I have tried it on was an AMD 3200 with a G-force 7800 running windows 7 and it worked fine.

KeithC - Thanks and Level 12 is very good, remember only 13 levels, you nearly completed it, though I would expect no less of a FPSC Moderator.

Dragon Knight – of course your names there, I tried to mention everyone who helped. Unfortunately I never got to update the thanks section due to panic at the deadline mix-up. Glad you liked the game.

Outscape - I think it is pretty hard just now. It is difficult to get a balance between beginner and veteran FPS people. I am flattered that you played it enough to work out a "system" though. Have you managed to complete it yet? It is possible ( I have done it) only 13 levels and you get rewarded with a different song and winning screen. I would be very surprised if your system works at later levels, the bad guys would be too strong and fast if you attracted them all together to kill in one big shootout they would overwhelm you.

It has also been suggested by DVader, that the end level cup is on a timer - it’s not, it is carried by one of the un-dead.

Overall thanks again to everyone for their support and encouragement. I have enjoyed making this game and look forward to seeing you all in CC#2, next time, I will make the final 10

Epilogue

Sorry I know this compo is over, however i just had to share this.

The story I concocted for the background to my game –

“The holy grail and the other 12 chalices from the last supper were found by the Templers. The Templers became hunted by the church.

They fled to Scotland and handed the cups to the society of Freemasons for safe keeping. The masons decided to hide the cups at Kilwinning, Abbey within their stronghold and founding town of Kilwinning. With their Mother Lodge being adjacent to the abbey they felt the grail was secure.”

It seems some other people have came up with the same thought and are now going to start an archaeological dig in hope of finding the Grail .

I knew nothing about this when I made the game and I’m sure they have never played it as it has only been advertised and distributed here.

Incredible. Are you sure you haven't sent those guys a telepathic suggestion?

That's funny. I like how they have a picture of the Holy Grail there. Their picture researchers obviously have a few secrets up their sleeves.

By the way, I have to say, it's spelled "Templars", and there would have been only one chalice at the Last Supper, not 13 (they had one between them, not one each). But it's still a fun idea.

Mireben - Perhaps I could use those powers on the judges in the next compo ?

Plotinus - Templars, You are right, my dyslexia coming out there and spellchecker making things wrong. However according too many depictions of the last supper, as can be seen in this historically accurate photo, Jesus could in fact afford a cup for each of his friends.
