Im struggling to make my first model a good size for FPSC, but I cant seem to find out how to re size it properly. Any tips?

its really trial and error, one way you could do it is load a fpsc ready model that is the right size and proportion it to that one.

You can also check the size of your model using Tools from the menu bar, then Model Statistics.
I know that the .x exporter allows you to scale on export; One of my models was supposed to be 1.7 units tall, but it was 17 units. Setting it to 0.1 gave me a correctly scaled model, 10% of the original size.

I'm secretly very competent.

Okay, thanks also I am trying to animate my model on Character Shop, but when I align it automatically, it stretches it in awkward ways, making it look like a random blob.
