You would have to use Ply's Mod to do that.

Try using the preview button if you haven't. It can help sometimes. I don't like it though. Takes like 2 minutes to load for me.

Could you not apply an invisible floor above the ground, and walk around on it? That seems like the best alternative to me, besides Ply's mod.

I did that as an Easter Egg in "he is coming..." Chapter 1. You ended up on an invisible floor above the entire town so you can see everything.
