very nice. Can't wait to see it smoothed with a normal map and texture.
Keep up the good work.

There are a few things i noticed: the pecks seem to high up, as you can see in my image the bottom of the pecks should be a little bit and wider, even for a fat orc.
Also, his calfs are too big and pointy, they are almost as big as his chest. Round them off and make them not as wide.
His feet are also to long and are unproportinate to the rest of his body, shorten them.

The body could also use a little bit higher poly but if you plan on adding a normal map i wouldnt worry about it.

Yea I might throw a few more edgeloops in, mainly on the arms, still workin on his skirt, then I have to make teeth along with a sword and shield as well because I plan on posing him in Biped with facial expression as well. I hope I can remember how to set up a facial rig grid, havent done that in like 2 years.

Big calf muscles is the style im going for, im aware of that, plus the lowpoly model always gets changed when sculpted, it never stays the same, also with the chest, even though I didnt notice that, I would have fixed it anyway even if you had not pointed it out to me because of how sculpting alters the base model, which is a good thing.

The head looks especially nice.

Is he wearing some sort of cloth? How do you have that on there? The way you should think about doing it is model his lower half without worrying about clothes, but that attach his cloth after.

Here's an example (model courtesy of polycount member)(VIDEO)

http://screencast.com/t/zo04yeWY

I didn't show it in the video, but his feet aren't actually attached to his legs either. Because his pants need to be connected to the body in this case, the feet are just stuck up underneath where the disconnection can't be seen anymore. In your case, do the legs normal, but then since it's like wearing shorts, just overlay the cloth mesh over the legs.

You can vertex snap the cloth into place, or you can clone the faces around where you want to start the cloth into a separate mesh and just extrude from there. Just make sure you get it accurate though.

Yes the cloth is over his legs, he has a fully body with cloth covering his body geometry for future wardrobe changes. Also, The skirt is sort of a cloth, it will have a few more polygons for holes and wear and tear etc. But yes that method is how I like to model. I usually clone.....

I wouldn't add geometry to add holes. Instead, just alpha that part off in your texture when you go to make it. Do you know how to use alpha's?

I'm not sure of anyone in the industry who would actually add geometry to make a whole. I'd even stay away from deleting polygons... what if you want to change the hole? Relocate it? And plus, I'm fairly sure it would through off some of the lighting on the cloth because their would be X amount of vertices gone from that hole... meaning that the vertex lighting would change there. I've seen alpha's used in game art before. Just my two cents

Are you supposed to fight that Orc? Since it's kinda hard to fight with a beer belly I believe. But it's dang cool, keep at it!

I am going to let the wip thread die because it will take some time before we will show some changes, and i need to discuss alot of things with sushi. But when we are ready we will probably have a webpage up for our project, and everything will be changed

But why are you never on msn sushi?

Wow its been a whole week since last night, I have been hella busy with work, but anywhoo im almost done with the Orc Highres, im trying to decide if I want to just enter this character into the Dominance War competition instead of giving it away because I have so little time to do anything....but I know there is a polycount limit I believe, this guys low is at like 4,500, I think thats too high for the competition :-(.....

C&C are welcome folks...

No it's not, I think there is a 10,000 poly limit. Read the rules for more.

If it is, you can always back the high res onto the low res.
