I'm getting a lot of jagged edges in FPSC X9 (Newest Beta) and I was wondering how to get rid of it.

I tried turning my anti-aliAsing up on my NVIDIA Control Panel, for I'm on Vista 32 with an 8800 GTS 512mb, but it didn't work. Is there something in the Setup.ini to mess with or another way that I can fix this jagged edge problem? Thanks!

vertical sync?
that or try entering your monitors native resolution in the setup file instead of the 1024 by 768

Vertical sync restricts the refresh rate to that of your monitor to avoid tearing. Most monitors have a refresh rate of 60, and FPSC's framerate is capped at 38, so it shouldn't be a problem. If he wants to fix jagged edges, then he needs to look at the resolution or perhaps see if there are any additional settings regarding AA in his control panel.

I tried changing resolution but it messed up my editor and makes no difference in game!

I changed first the setup.ini then I also changed the setupfiles.ini but to no avail.

aarong go to the NVIDIA Control Panel then to antialiAsing-mode and override any application setting. then go down to anti-aliAsing setting to 2x. you have to override because fpsc does not have it.

Thanks, that helped a little but I think my problem is my resolution. I have the newest beta running on Vista, and everytime I change the resolution it says "Depth is illegal" and closes FPSC.

Any ideas?

I had the same problem too...changing the resolution in the setup.ini gave me an error. The only way I've seen this fixed was in the last EFX mod that was released. Somehow, the resolution was fixed to my screen size, but I have no idea how.

Maybe you could ask one of the developers.

I've never bothered with resolution changing for the test game, but you can change it quite easily in a built game by putting width=X,height=X,and depth=X in your setup.ini (of the built game). Make sure depth is 32.

Thanks, it relatively worked!

I actually had that, but for some reason I filled them in wrong...completely.
