In order to properly use the XRotate Object command you have to use it after loading the model. That's how I do it anyway.

Some pseudo code:

'Tis all one has to do. Now, if you want something to rotate continuously in a Do...Loop, one has to use the following code:

YRotate Object 1,Wrapvalue(Object Angle Y(1)-1)

Use that when you make coins and such. Good luck programming!

OK, I forgot to explain the other 2 dimensions for rotating a 3D object in 3D space...

arbiter...there are 3 dimensions. X, Y, and Z. X is side-to-side, Y is up-and-down, and Z is back-and-forth.

YRotate Object will in fact rotate an object around its Y-Axis, much in the same way that XRotate Object or ZRotate object will rotate an object around the X or Z-Axis. My previous code (YRotate Object 1,Wrapvalue(Object Angle Y(1)-1) ) will work in a main program loop, such as a Do..Loop.

But I tried doing that and it said failed to load object "XRotate object 1,90" which makes no sense so do you think that its just my copy of darkbasic.

Turn sync off. Sometimes DarkBASIC gets confused and won't report errors until the next sync. Turning it off might give you more accurate results.

arbiter asked me because I pointed out in one of his many ( ) threads that he had an error with the XRotate Object command.

I must admit that I didn't expect him to start a whole new thread about it and asking me how to use it...
