Hi,

I have downloaded and installed visual C++ express, dark GDK and the august 2007 directX that it requires to work (as stated in the video on the homepage), created a new project as instructed but when running the program it fails to compile properly. I haven't changed the template code at all.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Error message reads as follows when compiling:

"fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'd3dx9.h': No such file or directory"

Did you reference the lib and include files for the August 2007 version of DirectX?

My guess at what's happened is that you didn't run Visual Studio before you installed the DirectX SDK - uninstall and then reinstall and see if that fixes it.

I followed the steps in the installation manual and it works tip top now. Thanks for the help.
