3 Dimensional Chat / Welding and target welding in 3ds max ?

Whenever i try to use welding, target welding or collapse it never works :S and if i could get it to work i could carry in with my models.
Can anyone tell me why ?

Make sure you are not trying to weld up vertices which are connected to 3 faces.

Ie there is not a face that would interfere once welded, or be partially or wholly hidden once welded.

Well theres no real model, i just tryed welding two seperate boxes verts and it kept doing nothing, same when i do it with my character.

Ok, If I understand this right you have created two boxes, And you are trying to weld them together. Have you deleted the faces on each box that are going to butt up against each other?

edit: Also they need to be attached

Yeah i had the same problem a while ago.
You have to make sure that the verts you weld have no polygons in between them.
