I have a dynamic object in my game that need's to act as if ambiance was set to 100, and stay that way.

For an example, I have my ambiance at 0, so when I play, you can't see the entity, its just a black silhouette.

Dynmic entities dont seem to light the same way as static entities, you could download blacksmith 3D and redo the texture map but i dont think FPSC supports the ambient maps that it can create as it can export, bump, ambient, sepcular, transparent etc since the alpha channel is transparent, could you 'tint' the alpha and give the effect of a glow?

Alternative load it up in blacksmith as it lets you paint directly onto the model, go over it lightly (if you have a pressure sensitve graphics tablet this effect is easy) with a very transparent brush in the colour of the glow you want to achieve, with low lighting in the level the effect is surprisingly realistic

Hmm. gorba flamingo, i tried to add the "illumenent" effects to no avail. There has to be a way to do this...

ive found that you also need at least one static light in the level for it to work. i don't think it matters where though

effectbank\illuminationent\illuminationent.fx

btw, i just tested it on a dynamic entity and it works fine with a static light on the opposite side of the level
