Man, I did that in the old days. Saved me forgetting lots of melodies. Problem is when I'm outside having a cigarette, the melody ideas really kick in and then you have to just remember them.

After a while though you develop the skill to lay them down in the software straight from your head. Where my style of music gets tricky is then generating the sort of sound in your head from a synthesiser. Sometimes you never quite get that sound you were after.

Insiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide!
