Okay, I knew about DarkGDK for some time but I didn`t want to get into C++. I realized that it doesn`t differ so much from C# as I expected, so I thought that I`ll give it shot. However I`d like to ask some stuff about this GDK :

1. Are any free/opensource physics engines linked into the GDK already? Like ODE and stuff (I`ve heard that Havok gives out a free personal noncommercial license o.o)

2. How much time will it take before I`ll have a really basic 2D/3D game running? With main loop, camera, loading models, displaying some text, an image, you know, experimental stuff.

3. What level editors can I use with it?

4. Are there source code examples laying around? For example a basic FPS, or vehicle movement, bloom, anything?

Thanks in advance,
KraHen

Well, I coded a flight sim with correct movement, throttle, some physics, a HUD, different views, etc. in 4 hours. DarkGDK is a rapid prototyping development kit and shouldn't take too long to get those things done.

And for how long have you studied C++ and/or DarkGDK before?
