Dark GDK / modifying the fps creator source with Dark GDK?

i download the DBP extras 6.6 and tossed it into the my projects bin of visual studio. the source loaded without any trouble.
can i edit it and compile it with this software. perhaps add the power of C++?

It's written in DBPro and not C++ so no.

And vice versa, the underlying libraries are more or less the same but the core languages are insurmountably different.

That just means that the latest version of DGDK contains the same functionality and feature set as DBP, however the languages themselves, as DC said, are extremely different.
