hi all, first time posting here.
well, im starting a new project, all im saying is its an FPS game. I want C&C on my WIP models, some are done, some are partially done, and others are WIP. im making them in the order of
1 meshes
2 UV maps
3 imported to engine
4 (maybe) shader

*note
im totally just going by the seat of my pants on these, i have no idea how to rig them. any suggestions on how to do the mesh? for example, do i need to have the head or arms seperated?

The handle on the gun really does look too thin, and I think that the trigger-guard is a little bit over-chamfered for its own good. The characters look good but I would suggest you to look at some human reference images to understand the anatomy issues that you're having, as your characters seem flat and undefined.
But it looks good, keep it up.

C&C is important to me, Alucard94 & tjaabee get a thanks for their input! btw im using a variety programs but the main one for mesh making is wings 3d.

They look really good and low poly! One question: when you make the buildings in a modelling program, the uv map will make the object have less texture space and make the buildings lower res, is that correct?

it depends on how you do it
you could
A have one face and a bunch of small textures on it or
B have a bunch of faces with just one texture on all of them.
hope that makes sense

Oooh. I see with your shipping containers that you only have a small range of textures to texture the whole object thus making the texture space bigger.

The organic texture is from texture forge (gasp)

The alien lookin one,the third across on top row, i know i used to browse them for ideas on what to make, never really helped, and on the flipside anything made with them cannot be sold...

The proof is in the edit

Unless ive misunderstood or something or there not yours...

oooooo
just to clarify i am NOT claiming these as my own textures. however, the person whom i downloaded them from seems to be. can you link me to where you saw them. i got them of a (different) forum where the guy said free to use for whatever. i have not used these yet and am glad you brought this to my attention.

i honeslty cant remember, i have hundreds of them though, ll upload a rar of them, if thats any use to discredit the thief.

i found all these about what goin back 3 years ago? am surprsied that they have survide this long.

theres 35mb//40mb unrar-ed// and most done by the same artist, ask if he has made any others, if he says no, slap him and post these, that should be enough proof.

have fun and tell me what happens.

cheers cb,

ill search fpsc forums for an old post, i think it contained the link to the site in a segment comp.

cheers cb

mid post edit, removed rar, trolling the fpsc boards i found the competion and post on the 3rd page, thank god tgc are crap at house keeping

http://www.filterforge.com/

the proof is on the scroll down...

alright, ive put up a post saying that the textures are not made by
him, linked em to filter forge, and blah blah bah. after 3 replys a
mod came along and they are deciding weather or not to erase his
uploaded media and suspend him, thats the normal punishment over
there. any who, ill be posting an image of a storage building in a
couple hours.

ps. ive redone all characters and will post them once textured! yay
