How about joining DarkNOOBS? We're always looking for new recruits.

I'd say try darknoobs or go for a classic arcade game like breakout.

A card game is a good idea(keep it simple like smartguy said) but remember don't get into the gui and card pics and stuff till you have the guts of the game done. like a text version. then put the fancy stuff in. otherwise testing and debugging is harder with abunch of gui code already in there(speaking from experience )

and do you prefer 2d or 3d? cuz right now people are throwing 2d out at you.

wat u mean harder to make a GUI for the cards? I made one quie easily and its never been any harder bcuz of it.

but ne way ya card game, break-out (although i couldnt make one bcuz i never got a working system to detect which side of a brick the ball hit, thats one thing u will need to figure ou before hand), or DarkNOOBS are prolly ur best options

what i ment was don't get into the gui before your engine is done.

and by gui i mean like graphics and everything. not just the UI. it just takes up space as it is not needed till the game is finished(or atleast the engine)

and if you have a menu and stuff every time you debug you have to go through the menu before you can test what you just did
