I am trying to access and download to file selected text and source codes from various web sites but am struggling. The only previous help that I can find goes back several years and I am unable to get this working, maybe because of the upgrades in dbpro or introduction of the vista operating system. Can anyone help with up to date code, methods and dll's.

There is a windows dll called urlmon32 I think.
Google it, then use the load dll / call dll commands from DBPro.

i know what you mean, some of the trouble, but was easily fixed using the urlmon dll file.

The trouble i had was getting it to download the same file multiple times even if the file was changed, and thus there lay the problem. I had to delete the cookies it saved.

Works fine for me

I am having some success with the code supplied by Spooky, thanks, but do have to turn off my firewall. Does anyone know what port is used or does this vary each time the program is run.
